Call for India-EU project on research & innovation "Green Deal: Building a low-carbon, climate resilient future" (Horizon 2020)
Last September 18th, 2020, the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India in cooperation with the European Commission (EC) announced their will to co-fund collaborative projects in the last Horizon 2020 Work programme on "Building a low-carbon, climate resilient future: research and innovation in support of the European Green Deal".

What are "Horizon 2020" and the "European Green Deal"?
Horizon 2020
is a European programme whose purpose is to support the objective of the Europe 2020 strategy for growth, strenghten the scientific and technological cooperation and ro create a European Research Area where scientific knowledge and technology could circulate freely. Horizon 2020 website:

The European Green Deal
consists in several objectives set by the European Commission to make Europe climate-neutral by 2050. The well-being of all individuals and the protection of the environment are at the very heart of this incentive. More information

Call for India-EU joint project on "Building a low-carbon, climate resilient future"
The very purpose of this call is to "The specific aim of the co-funding is to support interdisciplinary research and innovative approaches in order to develop impactful biological solutions for carbon neutral farming, restoration of biodiversity and ecosystem and systemic zero-pollution to protect health. These proposals should also bring added- value to India’s strength and capacity, and contribute to its national missions, notably on Sustainable Habitat, Water Mission, Sustaining the Himalayan Ecosystem, Green India, Sustainable Agriculture under National Action Plan on Climate Change (NAPCC)."
