This week, members of the Heritage Network met in order to kick start new activities in what we can now call the "covid-19" era.
from September 22, 2020 to September 23, 2020
As most of the Heritage Network institutions have resumed their academic activities, whether online, face to face or a combination of both, the Network has held 2 meetings this week.
On September 22nd, a Think Tank group made of 8 institutions brainstormed over how covid-19 could foster innovative activities and incentives within the network. After a fruitful debate hosted by Prof. Jayakumar from NIT Warangal, several ideas stood out, more particularly regarding online teaching and online webinars to share local research works and breakthrough. The Network now aims at offering these new format of activities in the short term but also wants to engage cooperation in the long term to tackle the challenges, whether social or scientific, revealed by the global pandemic.
On September 23rd, it was the turn of the Steering and Executive Committee members to gather online to address several topics that have been pending since March 2020 General Assembly. It was decided that the current 4 institutions that have applied to join the Network will be able to be elected after an online vote so that they can participate - if approved - to the Network's activities. The call for the election of 2 additional Steering and Executive Committee members shall also be launched this fall, in order to complete the current Board of 6 members.
Members of the Network will be informed by email of the voting procedures and deadlines to apply.
